Social media can be a brilliant or an abhorrent place. For every person looking to share positivity, there are a sadly larger number of people who opt to go the opposite route. Since news of his WWE release broke though, Lio Rush was inundated with so much love and well wishes from fans.

Talking about that fan response and the use of #LoveForLio on Twitter, Rush heartwarmingly enthused, "People started using it in different ways. Whether that was posting photos that they took of us while they were in the crowd and I was coming back up the ramp after the match, or all of the fans waiting at hotels and airports, outside of the arena in the cold, freezing rain, and I would stop and take a picture with them. It was really cool to just see the amount of love being poured in."

Going on to discuss how it still hits hard that he's no longer with WWE, Lio added, "It was rough, man. I still to this day think that it's just one big never ending nightmare and eventually I'm going to wake up from it and I'll still be a part of the company, but I don't think that's the case. That's not the case, at all. It's rough."
