Austin voiced his opinion regarding the promotional spot featuring Dolph Ziggler portraying Coloniel Sanders and The Miz as a chicken. Considering Ziggler was just in a WWE Championship match, this segment could have been saved for another time, or possibly done so with another performer besides the number one contender.

Steve Austin did mention how The Miz is nearly bulletproof when it comes to spots like this in that he can take on such a role and still keep his heat. Ziggler, at this stage of his career, is not as fortunate.

Austin further opined that the segment "was what it was" and that it did neither man any favors. While Miz can withstand the silly segment, it certainly didn't help him or his wrestling career.

Dolph, on the other hand, was probably even hurt by this commercial. It might've been even worse had he been successful in winning the WWE title, a notion brought up by Wade Keller that Austin gave credence to. Could you imagine the brand new WWE Champion dressed up as the KFC Kingpin moments after winning the title?
