What comes around goes around. While there is no doubt WWE has stepped up its training methods since the days of OVW and FCW, there is something admirable about the dues these trainees had to pay. In the documentary, former FCW talent discuss how the cleanup, the promoting and the poor venues made them appreciate the experience all the more.

By 2012, Florida Championship Wrestling had been operating for five years, and much like when they opened, WWE was looking to alter their training programme.

John Laurinaitus’s time at the helm of talent relations was over, and Triple H became Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events and Creative. With new management comes new ideas, and WWE finally decided to own their training ground.

The documentary concludes with a discussion about WWE’s Performance Centre and its ideology for training the superstars of tomorrow. Steve Keirn discloses that WWE was upfront and told him they wouldn’t be renewing the contract, essentially making FCW without a reason to continue. Florida Championship Wrestling became defunct on August 14, 2012.
