Getting powerbombed through a table to continue his conflict with Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho took the hard way out of his tag team match on Monday Night Raw, with his absence a cruical part in delivering the show's final surprise.

However, before the assault 'Y2J' confirmed he'd be having one last crack at his former best friend at May's Payback pay-per-view.

The match will mark the last act of Jericho before he returns to life as a rockstar on tour with his band Fozzy, but will also force finality on the genuinely sensational programme between the two Canadians.

It's been a fabulous success story for both, with Jericho badly flagging after a woeful rivalry with Dean Ambrose and Owens facing the start of life post-Sami Zayn.

The union of the two came to forge some of WWE's best television in years, particularly with the split between the two a glorious inevitability that hurt the hearts and minds of every fan that saw the vainglorious 'Festival of Friendship segment on Monday Night Raw.

With Jericho's imminent departure, Owens is almost certain to emerge victorious, but both can consider themselves huge winners from the engaging programme.
