10 Things We Learned From The Undertaker On Stephanie McMahon's WWE Show

5. Steph's Symbol Description Is Unintentionally Hilarious

Well now. This...this was deadpan genius, and it wasn't even intentional.

There's a brilliant bit midway through this week's episode that sees Stephanie McMahon recall her infamous storyline from 1999 with The Undertaker. Back then during the wild 'Attitude Era', a satanic 'Taker kidnapped young Steph, strapped her to a symbol (ahem) and tried to marry her. Or maybe sacrifice her first. Who can really say for sure? He was a law unto himself, that one.

Hearing Steph dryly narrate footage of herself screaming away on the cross is unintentionally funny. McMahon hit pause on examining Calaway's very real thoughts behind the scenes to politely thank Steve Austin for riding to her rescue. Then, ESPN left it at that and moved back to the real inner workings. It was so at odds with almost everything else on the episode, man.

That makes it even funnier to watch now. The same goes for footage of 'Taker shouting, "Where to, Stephanie?!" in the most dramatic voice ever after kidnapping her. Look, anyone watching Stephanie's Places clearly knows a thing or two about how wrestling works (everyone's been watching WWE long enough), but the clunky presentation here was rather charming in a way.

It was like: 'Hey, tell us about what you were thinking backstage' one minute, then: 'Cheers to Stone Cold for making sure I didn't become a human blood sacrifice in front of millions on live TV. What a guy!' the next. Honestly, do yourself a favour and check out this clip of Stephanie narrating the symbol storyline.

You need to see it. Just don't take a sip of anything before you do or your bedroom will resemble a Triple H entrance.
