2. How Motörhead's Entrance Theme Came About

In late-2000, Triple H was exploring his options for a brand new entrance theme that'd let him move on from 'My Time'. Eventually, he'd debut his new track on the 15 January 2001 episode of Raw, but not before a lot of back-and-forth with the WWF's music department.

Early demos sent to Triple H didn't sound at all like he wanted his new music to, and Kevin Dunn told him the company were frustrated they couldn't get his new theme right. That's when Triple H used Motörhead as an example of the kind of "guttural, raw" sound he wanted.

The rest is history.

Dunn (who wanted to find the right fit for Triple H's character) said, "Maybe we just see if they (Motörhead) can do it". Trips was blown away by that suggestion, because he didn't realise that was possible. A few days later, Dunn called Triple H to tell him Lemmy and the band were on board.
