10 Things We Learned From Triple H's Wikipedia: Fact Or Fiction

7. DDP Was Miffed At His First WWE Finisher

As hinted at in the previous entry, Triple H didn't use the Pedigree at all when he first signed on with the WWF in 1995. Instead, he used a version of the Diamond Cutter/RKO for his first few appearances on television against jobbers. Something about the move didn't sit right with him though.

He wasn't the only one. Diamond Dallas Page decided to give Triple H a buzz and tell him over the phone how annoyed he was that the WWF's new hire was using his finish. It's obvious from listening to Trips talk to Loudwire that Page was p*ssed when he first clapped eyes on Hunter's new finisher.

The problem was that Triple H had nothing to do with choosing the Diamond Cutter rip off at all. He'd been told to use it by the WWF when he joined, and they wouldn't change their minds until he started to complain that it didn't feel natural.

That's when he started using the Pedigree.
