Bruce Prichard maintained on his 'Something To Wrestle With' podcast in 2017 that the brackets for 'Brawl For All' were totally random. He claims he sat down in his office and had entrant Savio Vega pull pieces of paper with wrestler names on them from a brown paper bag.

Bart Gunn doesn't believe a word of it.

He told VICE that something smelled fishy when the first round bracket came out and he was paired against then-New Midnight Express partner Bob Holly. Then, the original pairing Gunn would've had later in the tournament was changed so that he'd be fighting 'Dr. Death' Steve Williams. This "totally random" crap isn't something Bart bought.

Things got weirder when some in the WWF teased Gunn for drawing Williams. Pat Patterson told him the day of the fight that he had no chance of knocking 'Dr. Death' out, but poor Bart only wanted to know if he'd get heat for doing so.
