10. Shane McMahon Wrote A 26-Page Script For Future Match With X-Pac
It'd be easy to imagine that there were rolling eyes and raised eyebrows when it became clear Shane McMahon was actually going to wrestle. Here was the boss's only son, about to step foot inside the ring and do something the entire roster already knew was tough. It could have been a recipe for disaster, but it's easier to name good Shane matches than bad ones. According to Vince Russo, that's something that became abundantly clear to the roster following the first few matches the man had. People were expecting him to struggle, but he was congratulated following his initial appearances for excelling inside the ring. Much of the pre-debut disbelief stemmed from a document he handed to Sean 'X-Pac' Waltman. The pair were scheduled to meet at WrestleMania XV, but it was in 1998 that Shane produced a 26-page report on what he hoped to include in the match. The file was incredibly detailed, and it ruffled some feathers with the boys in the back. It wasn't until the roster witnessed Shane contest a short match on Raw with Mick Foley that their fears were allayed.
