10 Things We Learned From WWE 24: Drew McIntyre

8. The First Book He Read "Cover To Cover"

Here's another thing you might share in common with Drew.

He told WWE's cameras that Mick Foley's 'Have A Nice Day' autobiography was the first book he read "cover to cover" in his life. That book is roundly considered one of the best in history, and baby McIntyre couldn't put the thing down. He even had a smile when thumbing back through the hardback on 24.

Foley's tales of travelling the world must have sounded far-fetched to a young Scotsman in his small bedroom at home. As anyone who has read the book could tell you though, Mick's words danced off the page and brought even his most depressing wrestling moments to life - it's a great book generally, not just a great wrestling one.

Drew couldn't get enough of it when he was younger. It was a reference tool, and charted the kind of experiences he hoped to replicate. Here's hoping that being thrown off the imposing Hell In A Cell wasn't one of them!
