10 Things We Learned From WWE 24: Raw 25

5. WWE Cameras Shot John Cena Watching ‘Taker’s Promo

As soon as The Undertaker walked slowly to the back after delivering his promo at the Manhattan Center, it was almost like it hadn't happened. When most expected 'Taker to either make his retirement official or announce his comeback, he instead rambled on about all the names he had beaten and, well, that was it.

Even though WWE had the perfect chance to shoot some, there was no WrestleMania 34 build at all.

During the special, John Cena is shown watching The Undertaker's promo on a backstage monitor in the Barclays Center. The shot lingers on Cena, and his intensity feels out of step with the rest of the doc's reality TV atmosphere. Why wasn't this shown during John's quest to talk 'Taker into the ring at 'Mania?

WWE could easily have pulled this footage, shown it on Raw as part of a video package and gave some meaning to The Undertaker's appearance at Raw 25. They didn't, and that only makes it more pointless.

What a wasted opportunity to do something special.
