The most celebrated members of any wrestling roster are, naturally, the competitors. They have the matches, they deliver the special moments, and they put their bodies on the line for fans' entertainment. Still, there's a lot that goes into making a great wrestling product, and many people who don't actually wrestle are integral to the process, both on- and off-screen.

Teddy Long would certainly know. During the course of his decades in the wrestling business, he's played a variety of roles - both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Yes, he was Smackdown's longest running General Manager, but he also spent years working as a manager and a referee. Before and during all of that, he was working many different backstage jobs.

Few people in wrestling have had careers as lasting as that of Teddy Long, and even fewer have managed to become so indispensable without even wrestling matches. Long's induction was a long time coming.
