Even people who don't follow mainstream sports are likely familiar with the story of Eric LeGrand. In October of 2010, the Rutgers University defensive tackle was paralyzed in a mid-game collision, breaking his C3 and C4 vertebrae. In the weeks and months that followed, LeGrand's bravery and work toward recovery made him an inspiration to millions and earned him awards and recognition.

The most recent honor came at the Hall of Fame ceremony, when he became the third person to win the Warrior Award. During his acceptance speech, LeGrand spoke about his injury and all of the progress that he's made, but he also discussed his past as a wrestling fan. Specifically, he cited The Rock and Kane as two of his favorites of yesteryear. LeGrand also mentioned that everybody is a wrestling fan at some point, and that's undeniable - it's pretty rare to meet someone who hasn't gone through at least a phase of fandom.

LeGrand's much-deserved award was a high point of the evening.
