Holy AEW sighting! Sort of.

Any fans keeping a close eye on the news last year will know that The Undertaker was originally scheduled for Conrad Thompson's Starrcast II event. Framed as a complement to AEW's Double Or Nothing pay-per-view, the convention's plans were shot to pieces when Vince McMahon cancelled 'Taker's gig.

That caused some friction between Vince and his friend. 'Taker hadn't been paying attention to what Starrcast actually was (he figured it was just another meet and greet-style weekender), and didn't know anything about AEW's involvement. He was also p*ssed that McMahon thought he'd seriously consider jumping ship to work for another promotion.

'Taker and Vince fell out for a spell over this. They didn't talk for a while, although both could see the other man's point of view on things and mended fences after a few weeks. McMahon was genuinely worried that fans would think one of his biggest stars had been poached by AEW.

For the record, WWE don't name All Elite on 'Last Ride'.
