3. He Couldn't Resist Ribbing Vince Before 'Mania 34

Shortly after the 2018 Rumble, Vince called 'Taker and asked him if he'd fancy working with John Cena at WrestleMania 34. That wasn't something Calaway saw coming. He did like the sound of it, but he wasn't sure he'd be able to make it special and was still smarting from revisiting 'Mania 33's horrors.

WWE ended up shipping a ring down to some abandoned jet ski hut near 'Taker's house so he could figure out if he had enough left. Whilst all this was going on, The Undertaker was wary that McMahon needed to establish his card for New Orleans. He couldn't take too much time to work out the kinks, because 'Mania needed to be finalised ASAP.

Still, why knock back the chance to play a mini-rib on the boss?

'Taker deliberately let Vince sweat and didn't say he was all in on 'Mania until the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on 25 February 2018. He sent McMahon some footage of him bumping and running the ropes, and said he wasn't as good as once was but that he'd see Vince in New Orleans.
