6 May 2001 was decreed the relaunch point for World Championship Wrestling's fortunes by Eric Bischoff. The pay-per-view, to him, would've presented a new, in-ring focused style for the company that had been missing for years, and he was pretty stoked about it all.

Beyond that shell of an idea, he didn't have an earthly clue what else the show would entail.

Bischoff says he didn't know what the pay-per-view's set would look like or which wrestlers would fill up the card of matches. All he knew was that it'd be called 'Big Bang', take place in Las Vegas and represent a bold new direction for a company that he still felt had hope.

In an strange moment, one of Bedol's talking head moments then refutes Bischoff's wrestling-centric plans by claiming 'Big Bang' would've had plenty of pyrotechnics displays and flashy production distractions that'd make it akin to an "action movie".

It's plain to see that they hadn't exactly decided much.
