10 Things We Learned From WWE WrestleMania Weekend 2022

7. The INSTANT AEWification Of Ring Of Honor

Ring Of Honor is Tony Khan’s to do with whatever he wishes, and he wasn’t shy about showing that during his booking debut for the company.

Supercard Of Honor was loaded with matches pitting members of the pre-existing ROH roster against All Elite Wrestling regulars, and everything went the way of Khan's familiar faces.

FTR and The Briscoes stole all the headlines for their magnificent ROH Tag Team Title encounter, but the belts were secured by Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler at the first attempt. Elsewhere, Mercedes Martinez won the interim Women’s Championship with a victory over Willow Nightingale, Wheeler Yuta dethroned Josh Woods in a choice effort for the Pure Title, Swerve Strickland bested Alex Zayne and Jay Lethal rolled over Lee Moriarty in an all-AEW encounter. A preview of the following week's Dynamite followed too, with match graphics flashing up exactly as they would during a typical edition of Rampage.

Apparently unconcerned with the optics, Khan favoured great matches and the results were well-received enough on the night. It'll be interesting to watch further patterns develop in the weeks and months ahead.
