10 Things We Learned From WWE's Finn Bálor: For Everyone

9. The Present And Future With PAC

Painting a picture of two performers at extremely different points in their careers, Bálor shared a lovely story of a conversation he had with eventual NXT Champion Neville in a hot tub in Japan before the two of them both made the jump.

The affection for his friend was real, as was the pleasure he took reliving the matches they'd have on the black-and-gold brand. In a sweet reference to their brief rivalry before his Championship win, he recalled his father's effusive praise at the time.

Recounting the tail, he said; "It was the first NXT out-of-state show in San Jose, and my dad always says it was the best match he'd ever seen". Noting elsewhere in the section that he got "goosebumps talking about Neville", the joy in describing their personal and professional chemistry was clearly very real and all the more maddening that the 'Man That Gravity Forgot' ultimately landed with something of a thud on the main roster.
