6. Big Show Vs. Shaq
A meeting that’s long been rumoured for WrestleMania 33 is a celebrity crossover match between the Big Show and Shaquille O'Neal. Unfortunately though, and with time running out to shoot a decent angle, it still hasn’t been confirmed.
Despite the match being teased as long ago as WrestleMania 32, Shaq recently said on his podcast that the situation is “not looking good,” although the potential abandonment isn’t necessarily his fault. Big Show then retorted by placing the blame squarely on Shaq’s shoulders, which of course opens up the possibility that all of this buzz is simply a part of the match’s build itself.
Either way, regardless of who’s to blame, and irrespective of whether these barbs are a work or not, Big Show vs. Shaq is a match that needs to happen, if only because Show’s done such a great job of getting himself in shape for the big day.
Plus, even though Show vs. Shaq isn’t going to grab the attention of too many wrestling purists, for the casuals, it’s a high-profile crossover match that would presumably earn Big Show one last, and deserved, payday in what’s looking to be the twilight of his career.
