10 Things We Need To See Before WWE's Bloodline Saga Ends
3. The Rock Makes An Appearance
For reasons including but not comprising busy schedules, the passing of time, and Hollywood insurance premiums, it’s a safe bet The Rock vs Roman Reigns is never going to happen. While that match would be money (and may have been great a few years ago), by now that’s probably a good thing, a dream not worth pursuing.
That’s not to say The Rock shouldn’t be involved at all, though. WWE should move mountains to get the Great One and the Tribal Chief face to face across a ring, even if fans know full well there’s no match pending.
Again - this whole saga is all about family, and in another generation, Rocky would have been the man to lead the Bloodline forward. Roman has placed himself at the head of the table and demands respect from the Anoa’i dynasty - he’s not going to get that from The Rock.
As long as it’s believable that the two could come to blows in a competitive fashion, a Rock/Roman staredown or verbal war remains the biggest viable moment the company could put on. And with strikes bringing Hollywood to a standstill, there’s no time like the present.
