10 Things We Need To See Before WWE's Bloodline Saga Ends
2. Roman Stands Alone
Whoever Roman’s final opponent, whatever the venue, event, year, one thing’s for absolutely sure: he needs to go it alone. And not in a noble This Is My Fight fashion - by the time Reigns is ready to drop that belt, he needs to have lost everything else - his family, his stooges, his Plan B. Just him and his title.
Throughout the Bloodline saga we’ve seen Roman’s backers whittled away. The Tribal Chief’s megalomania has made him an island unto himself, ready to turn on his cousins and drive loyal supporters to madness. The grand finale should see him bereft of allies, but no less desperate to maintain his spot.
This is why it’s so important that Roman’s aura as a wrestler is protected. Alone, backed into a corner, he needs to feel, if anything, more dangerous, not less. The Roman Reigns we see now is cocky and cool, happy to let his underlings do the fighting. The Roman who finally drops the belt should be desperate, aggressive, unpredictable.
