10 Things Wrestling Fans Found Too Distracting

8. Bill Alfonso's Whistle

"Somebody take that whistle away from him, please".

Those were the words of ECW announcer Joey Styles during pretty much any match Bill Alfonso worked as a manager. The scrawny lil' bugger chummed up with Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Taz and others throughout his ECW run, but he always brought that bloody whistle with him to ringside.

No, this wasn't the makings of a hilarious Father Ted episode, it was just constant annoyance. Alfonso would blow his cursed prop whenever his wrestlers were on top. Come to think of it, he'd burst eardrums with his racket when they weren't taking a kicking too - it was just overkill, and it distracted from the match.

It's easy to see what Bill was going for. He wanted a prop that'd mimic Jimmy Hart's megaphone, but he ended up giving countless ringsiders earache instead by blasting that whistle nonstop regardless of what was happening inside the ring.

Pick your moments, Mr. Alfonso!
