Despite losing founding member Tyler Rust and intended members Arturo Ruas and Marina Shafir to the last two rounds of "budget cuts", Diamond Mine is making the absolute best of the limited hand they've been dealt.

Malcolm Bivens' mixed martial arts mercenaries have filled the gaps beautifully with Ivy Nile, the first female champion on NBC's Titan Games and The Creed Brothers, Julius and Brutus, whose violent in-ring style can best be described as The Legion of Doom with an amateur background. When paired with Bivens as the quintessential mouthpiece and the leadership of Roderick Strong, the under-appreciated champion of an unfortunately neglected Cruiserweight division, the untapped potential of the faction is immense.

In their most recent NXT 2.0 appearance, another fascinating wrinkle was added to the presentation. Aiming to demonstrate their dominance over every facet of the roster, Bivens began issuing open challenges on behalf of the entire faction. In other words, any woman willing to tangle with Ivy Nile, any tag team that desires to risk their personal welfare against The Creed Brothers, or anyone who believes they can wrest the Cruiserweight Championship away from 'The Messiah of the Backbreaker' is welcome to step up. Like most diamonds, there are still some imperfections. But in the right setting, this group can still shine brilliantly.
