When the good lord Mick Foley unveiled this generation's Hardcore title, we as fans were pumped. The first couple of months of the 24/7 title's existence were filled with ingenuity and comedy that actually hit more than it missed (a real rarity for WWE). As with most things in this company, however, once they had a formula that worked once with fans, they used it every single week with diminishing returns.

R-Truth is propping up the title through sheer force of charisma, but even he is starting to grate as he goes through variations of the same story each time we see him. What happened to the hotel room, the plane journey, the wedding?! The 24/7 shenanigans started off being the highlight of many a show, where even the sky isn't the limit.

The premise behind the division is solid. It's a throwback to the Attitude Era; it provides a much-needed palette cleanser between more serious, sepia-toned feuds. Firstly, the spotlight needs to move to someone else who is just as charismatic and underutilised as Truth (a difficult ask, granted), and secondly, WWE need to step up their creativity with these segments again.
