10 Things WWE Are Struggling To Get Over Right Now

5. Nia Jax: Monster Heel

It's surprising that Nia Jax hasn't held WWE gold yet, given the quickness of her push.

She only wrestled her first match in May 2015, but was positioned as an NXT Women's Title contender just two months after arriving on television, and was hastily promoted to the main roster in July 2016.

From there, Jax has been consistently pushed as Raw's most dominant female force, though she has drifted in and out of the spotlight. Now, Nia's on the verge of challenging for Alexa Bliss' Women's Championship, and given the way WWE have hot-shotted the belt lately, there's a strong chance she'll win.

Opportunities haven't been hard to come by, but overness has. While Nia has the power required for the monster heel role, she's almost entirely unconvincing. Her in-ring offence looks soft and ineffecive, she doesn't come off nasty or imposing enough, and she has never been able to build a fearsome aura.

There's plenty of room for a monster heel in Raw's women's division, but the fans aren't buying what WWE are selling with Nia. She was called up entirely too early, and now finds herself pushed way over her head, playing a lead role on Raw while she should be studying Aja Kong tapes at the Performance Center.
