10 Things WWE Are Struggling To Get Over Right Now

3. Jason Jordan

While Raw's general quality has improved significantly in 2017, the show has played host to two massive creative missteps this summer: Big Cass and Enzo Amore's breakup, and Jason Jordan's unveiling as Kurt Angle's son.

Both have failed to connect with the audience, but Cass' ACL injury prevents him from featuring here. Thus, Jordan is left to carry the flag for hideous Raw angles on his own, and his inclusion is entirely justifiable.

American Alpha were going nowhere on SmackDown, but this storyline has seen Jordan slide even further down the rankings. An angle that was supposed to turn Jason into a major babyface has seen the crowd turn on him, with smatterings of jeers greeting him almost everywhere he goes, if the fans even care enough to react to him in the first place.

The experiment has failed. Jordan is a great wrestler, but he has been lumbered with the most vanilla 'good guy' gimmick imaginable, and he has already started losing matches. Frankly, his future looks grim. A heel turn might be the only option left on the table, but there's little reason to believe the fans would care about this either, such has been the strength of WWE's hatchet job.
