10 Things WWE Did Right At Payback

6. Bray Wyatt Got A Much Needed Win

Bray Wyatt's match with Ryback was a physical match featuring two guys that could really use a win. Ryback is over with the fans, but it's not like he has had that many significant wins in recent months. Wyatt hasn't been seen in the ring a lot since losing to The Undertaker at WrestleMania. At one point in the match, Wyatt hit a big move that may have legitimately broken one of Ryback's ribs. With Ryback laying on his back outside the ring, Wyatt jumped off the apron back first and landed right on Ryback. You could see Ryback was in pain because he started slapping the floor. Part of that was selling, but if it legitimately hurt him then he was probably a bit upset too. The reason I felt like Ryback might win is because if they are going to have two or three matches then it would have made more sense for Ryback to win the first time and then have Wyatt win the following two matches. There's nothing wrong with Wyatt winning if this is their only match or if they have others in the near future as well. Following Elimination Chamber, the next PPV event is Money in the Bank in June. Wyatt has to be considered a favorite for that. Perhaps he's THE favorite for that match. Maybe that's why WWE felt like putting him over. He deserves it.
