10 Things WWE Did Wrong At The Royal Rumble

2. Roman Reigns Couldn't Win On His Own

Yet another example of the nonsensical booking of the Rumble match: Roman Reigns - The Juggernaut, The Big Dog, The One vs. All,The Heir Apparent to the Cena Throne - really only won because Kane and Big Show turned on each other. WWE is so ineffective at telling strong stories that, despite their apparent drive to establish Reigns as the man come hell or high water, he needed the two Authority goons to dumb it up and start beating on each other, so distracted by in-fighting that he could sneak up on them and dump them over the top. What kind of backwards logic is that? You want to build him up as a juggernaut, fine. Have him take both men head on, look unstoppable and run them over like a boss before eliminating them forcefully, Make a statement. Instead you painted Reigns as a guy who got lucky because the two Cloverfield monsters who were dominating him were too stupid to keep their eyes on the prize. How anyone can think that was a good idea is baffling.
