10 Things WWE Did Wrong At The Royal Rumble

5. They Should Have Made Bryan's Elimination Mean Something

Since WWE was so obviously deadset on putting Daniel Bryan in the Rumble, couldn't they have found a more impactful way to eliminate him? It makes sense why he was knocked out so early. The powers-that-be figured that they'd go ahead and get him out of the ring in the opening portion of the match so the fans would have time to forget about it. But the fact that that's even a thing that had to be considered shows how out of touch they are. So why not make his elimination mean something? Here's you choice to immediately make a strong heel that the fans absolutely hate - something they only have one of. It doesn't matter who it is, although it needs to be someone you want to push hard, and have it rip our hearts out. Instead we got him kicking some guys, throwing out Tyson Kidd and then being halfheartedly knocked off the apron like he was a mere afterthought. They blew their chance to make us hate someone's guts by robbing his expulsion of any impact. If it's going to happen, someone should have benefited from it.
