10 Things WWE Did Wrong In 2014

6. Ignoring The WWE World Heavyweight Championship For Four Months

After ending The Undertaker's streak at Wrestlemania 30, Brock Lesnar made a statement in his WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match at Summerslam by decimating John Cena in a way that we have never seen in a main event for the championship. Cena would invoke his re-match clause at the very next pay per view at Night Of Champions and looked much better before Seth Rollins interfered after Cena's fourth AA on Lesnar. As we found out at the Tables Ladders & Chairs pay per view, we finally get a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at the Royal Rumble. That mean it will be four months between title defenses. Not only is that a logic hole (hello Daniel Bryan), it diminishes the value of the championship. It isn't a bad thing to take one month off to build a feud, but taking a third of the year without a title defense is too much. The WWE knew this going into Lesnar's contract, and their decision to place the title on him and ignore it for four months was something the WWE did wrong with it's most prestigious title.
