10 Things WWE Fans Expected To See In 2017 (But Didn't)

7. Seth Rollins On SmackDown

What else is there for Seth Rollins to achieve on Raw?

Sure, he could have a crack at playing Universal Champion, but Brock Lesnar already had that belt on lock. Besides, Seth ruled with an iron fist as WWE Champ across both shows for much of 2015. Further, he's been an ever-present since the brand split in 2016, and could do with a change of scenery to freshen up his act.

Seth's stable mate in The Shield, Dean Ambrose, has moved from SmackDown to Raw, and it's time for Rollins to shift in the other direction. He would have been perfect for a switch during the Superstar Shakeup, but WWE clearly fancied trying a full-blown Shield reunion on Mondays. So much for that.

Fast-forward to now and Seth is treading water. He's being used as collateral in the slow-burning Jason Jordan heel turn and doesn't have anything in the pipeline beyond that. Perhaps if Seth had been traded to Tuesdays, Jinder Mahal wouldn't have been forced to wrestle Randy Orton 365,971 times.
