10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Paige

6. Paige's Second WWE Tryout Went Much Better

In April of the following year, the WWE still had an interest in Paige and asked her to tryout once more. There were a total of 16 people trying out for coveted spots in the WWE, Paige was the only girl, and her brother Zak was also at the tryout. This particular tryout was ran by Jamie Noble (now of J & J Security fame with Seth Rollins) and Dustin Rhodes (Goldust). They would all stand around the ring and tag in and out to show off what they had. The highlight of the tryout was the fact that Paige and her brother Zak were beating the holy hell out of each other in the ring. Obviously this wasn't their first go around in a 20 by 20 squared circle, but to see a brother and sister truly go at it in the ring completely cracked up Dustin and Jamie. Of the entire two-hour session of tagging in and out, Paige estimated on Jericho's podcast that her and her brother took up 3/4 of the time. They didn't want to get heat by taking up all of the time, but Jamie and Dustin insisted. After the two hour session, Dustin definitely had seen something in Paige, and pulled her aside for a one-on-one session of about 10 minutes, just showing her how to modify certain moves and also teaching her new ones. Paige's mind was blown that he would take the time to do this. Then they all head to the locker room and Drew McDonald rambled off a list of people who were signed and Paige was one of them! She was overcome with a bittersweet feeling as her brother Zak didn't make it, but she was able to share the moment with their mom who was at the tryout and crying once they found out she was signed.
