Most wrestlers come from a legitimate sports background before they ever train for a career in the ring, and Billie Kay is no different. The 5'10" athlete's game of choice growing up was basketball.

Kay played for the Bankstown Bruins, a franchise with both men's and women's teams in New South Wales's semi-professional Waratah League. The dominant women's team won the league championship ever year from 2003 to 2006.

From 2011 to 2013, Kay played for the team, competing while she worked as a wrestler. In 2012, the team claimed the league championship once more. Kay was a valued member of the roster, and other teammates called her "Go Go Gadget" - a reference to Inspector Gadget brought upon by her long arms and legs.

Kay also participated in touch football, hockey, and dance.
