10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Bobby Fish
6. He Has MMA Experience
If Bobby Fish's strikes and submissions seem particularly realistic, there's a good reason for it - in addition to his pro wrestling experience, Fish has also competed in a pair of mixed martial arts fights.
On January 29, 2010, Fish made his debut for the Albany, New York-based Cage Wars organization. At that event, he faced Justin Pierpont, winning by TKO in the third round after breaking Pierpont's nose in the second.
Fish would return to Cage Wars in 2012, taking on Matt Yarber at the promotion's 12th event. Once again, Fish picked up the victory - after sending Yarber to the mat with a spinning back kick to the gut, the referee stopped the fight.
Granted, Fish's MMA experience hasn't been before as large a crowd as that of some other wrestlers, but he's still gotten in a cage and fought. Undoubtedly, that gives both the wrestler and his arsenal additional credibility.
