7. Their First Televised Match Was In September 2002
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0nv7Rf0aC4 Lesnar was the new WWE Champion that was coming off a win against The Rock at SummerSlam and moved into a feud with The Undertaker. Cena was still new in WWE as an energetic rookie in colorful tights, which were blue and orange in this case. Their first televised match took place on the September 19, 2002 edition of Smackdown with Lesnar dominating the action for the most part. He was showing off by doing a lot of amateur style wrestling moves, suplexes, powerful submission holds and it looked like he was going to get the easy win. Cena made a comeback that saw the crowd get behind him. His dropkick looked much better back then than it does today. Lesnar showed incredible strength by countering a Cena crucifix pin attempt by powering him off his back and dropping him in the middle of the ring with the F5. Was it a good match? Not really. It was a dominant win for Lesnar. They were both still learning as rookies even though Lesnar was already the WWE Champion.
