10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Brock Lesnar & John Cena's History

6. They Beat Kurt Angle & Undertaker In A Tag Match

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MrOiWYQMRM It was October 2, 2003 when Lesnar teamed up with Cena in the main event of Smackdown to take on the team Kurt Angle and The Undertaker. Lesnar was a bully heel WWE Champion that did evil things like pushing one legged Zach Gowen down a flight of stairs. Lesnar was taking on Undertaker at No Mercy while Cena was taking on Angle. It was the two young guys with bright futures against two vets that the fans loved and respected. This was one of those matches that had a hot crowd with nonstop action. It was tough to know who was going to win because putting over the younger guys would be smart, but the veterans often time won matches like this. It looked like Angle was going to get the win because he was cleaning house. However, Cena was smart enough to grab his chain and wrap it around his fist. The ref was distracted by Undertaker brawling with Lesnar so Cena ended up punching Angle with the chain wrapped fist and Cena got the pinfall win on Angle. It was a huge victory for him. Cena ended up turning face soon after this. Lesnar and Cena didn't team to together that much, but this was definitely their biggest match as a duo.
