In his 12 years in TNA, Young experienced vast amounts of success. He would win championship gold on 11 occasions, and is one of only four men to hold all of the championships available in the company.

He's in some pretty impressive company too, with AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Abyss his fellow Grand Slam-winning comrades.

As mentioned Young won TNA's biggest prize in 2014 when he defeated Magnus. He was a four time tag team champion in the company, winning NWA tag gold with Bobby Roode and winning TNA's revamped version of the belts with Kazarian and the duo of Kevin Nash and Scott Hall (Freebird rules were in effect).

Young captured TNA X-Division gold on one occasion, and was a three time holder of the Television/Legends/King of the Mountain title. Not only that, Young was also co-holder of the Knockouts Tag Championship (honestly) and a one-time winner of the TNA World Beer Drinking Championship.

Eric Young did everything there was to do in TNA, performing exceptionally in whatever role came his way. He is going to be a more than valuable addition to the NXT roster, to say the least.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
