10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Eric Young

2. Kurt Angle Approves

In his final run with TNA, Eric Young had a particularly heated rivalry with none other than the Olympic Gold Medallist himself, Kurt Angle.

Angle's TNA career was winding down somewhat, and it was announced that he would compete at 2015's Bound for Glory. Rumour has it that Angle was allowed to choose his opponent, and the man he plumped for was EY.

EY and Angle would have many battles, but it is the details within that really gave Young the stamp of approval. Everyone and their dog knows that Kurt Angle's neck is made out of paper at this point, and him taking moves that could cause extra damage to that particularly important body part aren't exactly necessary.

This doesn't quite match up with Young however, as during his tenure in TNA he used the feared piledriver as his finish. Piledrivers and necks rarely go well together, but Angle trusted Young enough to not only allow him to use the move on him.

Not many men have hit Angle with a piledriver in his career. In fact, the number of men stops at two; Eric Young and The Undertaker. Not bad company for EY.
