An entire generation of wrestling fans who had been reared on the WWF's cartoonish goodness in the 1980s must have felt like they'd struck gold when stumbling upon Paul Heyman's ECW in the mid-'90s. Suddenly, Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior felt lame next to Sabu's barbed-wire laced matches and New Jack's ultra-violent approach.

Jeremy Borash was one of those people. During interviews to promote the 'Forever Hardcore' documentary Borash made in 2005, he said ECW was responsible for rekindling his love of the industry in the '90s and he needed to put that across. The film led to the 'Hardcore Homecoming' show in ECW's old stomping ground, Viking Hall.

Keep in mind that Borash was busy trying to push TNA as the 'new face of professional wrestling' in '05, so his time was limited. Armed with a laptop and video camera, he spent any free time he did have on presenting a love letter to ECW's rabid fan base.
