6. My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding Was Mostly Fake

Speaking to Wrestling Inc. in 2019, Priscilla Kelly explained how what audiences saw on My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding wasn't quite what the show was supposed to be - at least, from Kelly's perspective.

Rather than being depicted as 14-year-old who was eager to marry and settle down, Priscilla was sold something else by My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding. As is often the case with reality TV, though, the producers had already decided on the narrative that they wanted to tell.

As Hell's Favourite Harlot detailed:

"No disrespect to that TV show, but it was very much a fake story going into that. It was supposed to be one thing but it ended up being very scripted and not what we expected it to be.
Everyone thinks that show was so true and accurate about how life really is. It’s completely false; everyone still thinks I was trying to find a husband at 14 and that was the biggest lie."

Elements of the gypsy culture seen in My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding were indeed correct, yet Priscilla felt that her appearance on the show was manipulated to showcase something that wasn't entirely true.
