5. She Had An Extremely Strict Upbringing

During that same Wrestling Inc. interview, Priscilla Kelly added that, while elements of My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding were fabricated and driven by the producers of the series, she did have an extremely strict gypsy upbringing that shaped the person and performer that she is today.

The recent NXT signee wasn't allowed to date or even go out during her younger years, and she had to keep it a secret when she got her first boyfriend at 16. Kelly explained how she was "basically shamed from any type of sexuality", although she later channelled this into her wrestling persona - citing how her strict and firm upbringing led to her gravitating towards pro wrestling as a way to express herself.

Kelly has also said how some girls with similar gypsy backgrounds to her have reached out to praise what she's done with her career and her life, although Priscilla likewise admitted that a lot of young women from that world are stuck in that particular bubble, and thus they think that what she does is "horrible" and that she's a "horrible person".
