10. She Grew Up A Tomboy

As a young kid, Renee didn't quite subscribe to pretty dresses and ladylike behaviour. No, she (in her own words) was more at home being a tomboy, but she wasn't a pro wrestling fan. In fact, Michelle only began appreciating the industry after attending a TNA show with friends and being spotted by one Duane Gill.

Before that crazy caper, she had fancied getting into acting and/or stunt work as a child. It wasn't until Renee's mother put her through an etiquette class that she fell in love with modelling too and started to change as a person. By the time she attended one of TNA's ball park shows, Michelle was ready to be bitten by the wrestling bug.

A lot of folks will be shocked to learn than Duane Gill played a huge role in convincing Renee to give wrestling a shot. Thankfully, due to her upbringing and experience elsewhere, the physical side of the business wasn't an issue.
