The disciplined nature of martial arts training fit snugly with Renee's personal upbringing at home. Both of her parents preferred that she follow in family footsteps by working for the military or for the government in some capacity.

When she was 19 years old, Michelle became a government contractor.

She remains a firm believer to this day that it's vital for any pro wrestler to have something they can fall back on if the industry doesn't work out. That healthy attitude was formed at home during a strict childhood that, whilst fondly remembered, definitely shaped her ambitious attitude.

Many members of her family worked in the military or for the government, and it was expected that Renee would follow suit. Her work in wrestling is obviously a deviation from that, but it's interesting to learn she did work as a contractor before launching headfirst into the business.
