10 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About The XFL

6. Brock Lesnar Won't Be Pulling On Pads

As ludicrous as that sub-heading was to even type, it's worth doing. Some on social media have been wondering for the past two years if WWE wrestlers would be in attendance at games or maybe pull on the pads for a quick snap or two.

The answer to that second part, obviously, is no.

Stars may be booked to show up in the stands, mingle with players (some crossover celebrity rub can't be a bad thing) and cut promos in the locker room. Others might even brawl occasionally to further WWE storylines. That's unlikely to be part of the XFL during the league's earlier weeks though, and there's no chance of seeing wrestlers play ball.

Unlike 2001's XFL, this is a serious league, and WWE are treating it as a proper product instead of some freakish amalgamation between 'sports entertainment' and real-life sport. In other words, no, Brock Lesnar won't rekindle his Minnesota Vikings experiment by pulling on a New York Guardians helmet.
