10 Things WWE Fans Want For Christmas In 2016

3. A Worthy WrestleMania Main Event

Although it's clearly the biggest show every year, WrestleMania doesn't always feature the biggest or best main event of the year.

For example, despite being the last match on the card that drew over 100,000 fans into AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas for WrestleMania 32, Triple H vs. Roman Reigns was a match that very few wanted to see, much less as the main event of the grandest show of the year. It would've been perfectly fine for a Battleground, or even a Survivor Series, but for WrestleMania, fans expect a little more.

For 2017, fans are hoping WWE puts their political motivations aside and gets back to presenting a main event that they truly want to see. As of December 2016, that would mean a main event without Roman Reigns which, if it does indeed happen, would be the first WrestleMania since XXX to not feature Reigns in the main event. What could that match end up being?

There's a number of matches that could be a realistic and justifiable WrestleMania main event. John Cena vs. The Undertaker in a Career Ending Match, Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg for the WWE Championship, Goldberg vs. The Undertaker, or Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock.

These matches may be risky and/or require unconventional thinking, but all are certainly worthy of headlining WrestleMania.
