Continuing on the topic of Talking Smack, the post-SmackDown show has been one of the highlights of the WWE Network in 2016.

While WWE has done post-shows before, the creative liberties that Talking Smack has provided both the hosts and the visiting talents are what set this show apart from all the others. It's the one and only place where talents are seemingly given more creative freedom with which to operate.

Decades ago, any time the majority of WWE superstars cut a promo, they were delivering it themselves and speaking their own words. Nowadays, they're memorizing someone else's verbiage, verbatim if possible, and it shows. For whatever reason though, on Talking Smack, fans can see today's talents speak for themselves. To call it "refreshing" would be a massive understatement.

Equally as important to the show's success are the on-screen hosts of Talking Smack.

It takes a certain type of talent to be both entertaining yet selfless while presenting a WWE post-show, and Renee Young and Daniel Bryan have that in spades. Look no further than the Monday Night RAW counterpart, RAW Talk. Despite being the same type of show, it pales in comparison to Talking Smack.

In 2017, fans are hoping to see more opportunities like Talking Smack where talents are viewed more organically and given more creative leeway.
