And what a match this was. When The New Day moved to SmackDown Live as part of the post-WrestleMania Superstar Shake-Up, the prospect of another feud with The Usos didn’t exactly tickle the tastebuds of the WWE Universe. Six months later the naysayers have been proven wrong - this may well be the best in-ring WWE feud of 2017.

The plunder started early during this one, and I can’t remember the last time I saw this many kendo sticks in a single match. The bout was full of innovative tag team spots, including an apron uranage into a backstabber from Woods and E., before the latter was taken out by a doomsday suicide dive on the outside.

Big E. is clearly a star in waiting, but everyone brought their A game here. The Usos have had an incredible year, and once again find themselves in possession of the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships. Who will they face next? The division is paper-thin, but the top of the table is extremely healthy.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
