Daniel Bryan did the right thing by adding Tye Dillinger to the United States Championship match. Dillinger recently picked up a clean win over Baron Corbin, yet found himself on the outside looking in going into this show - 'The Perfect 10' was as deserving of the shot as 'The Lone Wolf', if not more.

Adding Dillinger also gave WWE an easy out when it came to moving the championship onto Corbin. AJ Styles was able to lose the title without being involved in the decision, and can now move back into the main event picture. Somebody has to beat Jinder for the WWE Championship, and that somebody should be 'The Phenomenal One'.

The triple threat match itself was absolutely fine, albeit a little plodding for the first half. Corbin is as dreary as anyone in between the ropes, but Dillinger and Styles were energetic enough to mask 'The Lone Wolf’s shortcomings. It went a little long in the end, but the decision to make this a three way was absolutely the correct one.
