10 Things WWE Got Right At The 2016 Royal Rumble

8. New Day Rocks

Continuing their year-long tradition of being one of the best things on every WWE show, New Day had another outstanding performance both inside and outside the ring. it began with a hard fought victory of The Usos, and although the tag team division is quickly growing stale again, keeping the titles on the "heels" was the right call here. We got the rebirth of Xavier's trombone and and more classic ringside taunting from their mouthpiece, but the true memorable New Day moment came during the Royal Rumble match. Each year we expect another breathtaking Kofi Kingston near-elimination, and this year was more of the same but with a comedic twist, When he was tossed from the ring he landed sitting up on big E's shoulders, and rather than assisting him back into the ring, the trio paraded around the outside of the ring engaging in various shenanigans. E carried Kofi over to a group of ringside fans who shared their popcorn and soda with him, and they continued to frolic around until Chris Jericho finally eliminated him several minutes later (in yet another spot that the production crew missed). Props to New Day for always keeping us entertained.
