10 Things WWE Could Learn From The Marvel Universe
8. Stables
Stables, factions, groups: whatever you call them, they both have their place in both the WWE and Marvel Universes. Fans of both companies enjoy the sight of their favourite performers/characters banding together to fight in unison against a common enemy. WWE have had some great stables in recent years, such as Evolution and The Shield. But these are very much the exception and not the rule. For every one of these there are three or four duds to go along with them. WWE's latest triumvirate - The New Day - is the most recent of these misfires. Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E's careers have never looked bleaker. Marvel, meanwhile, are raking in billions of dollars with The Avengers, which teams up Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Hawkeye. That's akin to WWE teaming up Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, AJ Lee and Randy Orton. Now, it could be argued, that WWE does present supergroups every year at Survivor Series. But why can't WWE present another decent, powerful stable? The Shield worked really well and proved that if a faction are pushed correctly and presented at a threat that money can be made. Marvel also have a little group of superheroes called The X-Men who WWE could learn a thing or two from.
